Kitchen Smarts

I love having salads for lunch, but I struggle with the salad dressing part while packing my lunch. I never seem to find the matching lids to my small Tupperware. When I do find a matching container it is too large to slip into my lunch bag. I also do not like to dress my salad in the morning because by noon the lettuce and spinach is soggy... who wants to eat a soggy salad. So, I came up with making my own salad dressing packet with a sandwich baggy, and I have to say... I did pretty well. It may not be an original idea, but it is new to me. I was pretty proud of my kitchen smarts! Here is how I did it... pretty simple I know!

Start with your salad that you have prepared.

Take your favorite salad dressing, and place a serving size (or desired amount) in a sandwich baggy.Place on top of your salad in the container that you have prepared it in.
And...you got it! A delicous, homemade salad to go for lunch without soggy lettuce!

Me, a happy girl that I figured this out!

Angry Birds

This week I was asked to do cookies for a birthday party. I have baked cookies for this family before and was excited about becoming a birthday tradition. The two boys planned their own party, and were going for Angry Birds. I have NEVER done this before and they do not even make cookie cutters in the correct shapes. With a little help from the internet, this is what I came up with for the party. I think I did ok!
